The investigation of former Prime Minister Sharif was done for corruption. Although the case doesn't appear to be progressing.

In a 2013 survey, the police were found to be the most corrupt sector in the nation. The general public struggles to report cases of corruption to the police.

A 23-year-old woman claimed that the police arrested her for fifteen days. Later on, they abused her as punishment for trying to expose police corruption. Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz ordered an inquiry into her claims in 2005.

Public Utilities:

After getting official licenses, regular payments, bribes, and gifts are provided and accepted. Most customers admit to lowering their utility costs, particularly for water and electricity. while others claim to have been harassed with inflated bills to encourage bribes.
